Gido Gido is developed by Myth & Mortar, a new Taiwan-based game studio led by producer Maso Lin, whose previous credits include the acclaimed side-scrolling action platformer The Legend of Tianding. With Gido Gido, the team set out to create a welcoming party game built around cooperative chaos and a unique fusion mechanic years in the making.
"Gido Gido is all about the joy of playing together. We built a cozy city with adorable monsters and simple controls, then turned up the mayhem with fast-paced battles and the ability to fuse with friends. The fusion feature is an idea I've carried for almost a decade, and I finally found a way to make it fun for players while introducing a new kind of gameplay." — Maso Lin, Producer
Maso previously collaborated with art director Ruby Tsai on The Legend of Tianding. For Gido Gido, Ruby created a vibrant visual identity inspired by modern cartoons and comics, combining bold shapes, expressive animation, and colorful effects to make every Gido feel distinct and memorable.
"I wanted Gido Gido to feel loud, colorful, and playful, drawing inspiration from modern Americana cartoons and comics. Bold shapes, vibrant colors, and exaggerated details give every kaiju personality, making the game feel fun, friendly, and perfect for a party experience." — Ruby Tsai, Art Director
Gido Gido: Kaiju Battle Party is currently in development for PC via Steam.
