In Gido Gido, players control kaiju called Gido, each featuring unique combat skills. This variety helps, since a squad can benefit from a little bit of everything: someone to protect the team, someone to bring the firepower, someone who would rather avoid the chaos altogether, and someone who charges in headfirst.
Today we are introducing Tanku, Pewpiu, Slobu, and Rolzo, four very different Gido who each bring their own abilities, personalities, and unique Fusion Factors to the battlefield.
Tanku: The Defender
Skill: Raise a giant leafy shield that fully blocks frontal damage. Blocked damage converts into Rage, which is then unleashed as a powerful shockwave blast!
Fusion Factor: After fusing, Tanku generates a rotating shield that blocks incoming attacks.
Personality: Tanku has leader energy and likes standing at the front to protect everyone, often cleaning up the messes the others leave behind.
Tanku also tries to keep the squad in line. They'll tell Slobu to stop picking on Pewpiu, or remind Rolzo to calm down instead of rushing headfirst into danger. In other words, if the Gido squad has a responsible adult, it's Tanku.
Pewpiu: The Shooter
Skill: Tap to rapidly fire flaming bullets while moving. Hold to charge, then release a powerful multi-hit piercing shot!
Fusion Factor: After fusing, every normal attack triggers an additional fireball burst.
Personality: Pewpiu is essentially the squad's mascot. Always a little absent-minded and has a very simple way of looking at the world. Thinking things through isn't exactly a strong suit.
Pewpiu doesn't have eyelids, so their eyes stay open even while they're sleeping, much like a fish. The bulging, wandering eyeballs make them look like they aren't deep thinkers. Which they are not.
Slobu: The Stainer
Skill: Spew hazardous goo, creating surprisingly colorful puddles that deal damage over time.
Fusion Factor: After fusing, every step leaves behind a slime trail.
Personality: Slobu is the calmest and possibly smartest Gido in the squad. They're also lazy, prefer to avoid trouble whenever possible, and are always looking for an opportunity to slack off.
Slobu rarely shows much emotion. Happiest moments usually come from successfully avoiding work. Even then, the happiness is subtle. Rather than jumping for joy, they're more likely to show a quiet, smug satisfaction that says, I got away with it.
Rolzo: The Runner
Skill: Hold the skill button to charge forward. The higher the gear, the faster you go and the more damage you deal. You also take less damage while dashing.
Fusion Factor: After fusing, moving in the same direction gives a massive speed boost. Go fast enough, and you'll unleash a devastating shockwave!
Personality: Rolzo is the most energetic, and easily the most uncontrollable, Gido in the squad. When Tanku gives an order, Rolzo might hear the first word and charge ahead immediately — impatient, bold, and fiercely competitive.
Rolzo hates losing at absolutely anything, and when they win, they are extremely proud of it. For Rolzo, there's no such thing as taking it easy. If there's somewhere to go, they're already running there.
Four Gidos. One Squad. Endless Chaos.
Tanku protects. Pewpiu shoots. Slobu stains the battlefield. Rolzo charges straight through it. And these are just some of the many Gidos you will be able to take into battle.
Each Gido brings a different playstyle to the squad, but the real fun begins when they fuse together. Combine their abilities and Fusion Factors to create powerful new forms and take on the chaos as a team.
